Mozzarella used in restaurant pizza

You can apply for a milk Class 3(d) registration number to access mozzarella cheese at a reduced price.

You may be eligible if:

  • You own a restaurant in Canada that prepares and cooks pizza on site (not a cafeteria, institutional food service or catering operation)
  • You are a distributor or restaurant franchisor that supplies mozzarella cheese to restaurants

Mozzarella made in Canada and in packages of least 2 kg included in Class 3(d):

  • Mozzarella (scamorza)
  • Part skim mozzarella (scamorza)
  • Pizza mozzarella
  • Part skim pizza mozzarella
