Incorporating a Co-operative

To start a co-operative in Newfoundland and Labrador under The Co-Operatives Act you will need to:

  • Reserve your business name
  • Complete the articles of incorporation
  • Submit the by-laws of your co-operative
  • Pay the required fees

To maintain the co-operative in good standing once it is established, you will need to:

  • File required documentation and keep the necessary records
  • Respect the rights of members
