Green Construction through Wood — Timber Bridges

Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), Government of Canada

If you have an innovative design for a timber bridge, you could get a non-repayable contribution to cover up to 100% of your project's incremental costs.

Bridges for eligible projects must:

  • Be either a traffic or pedestrian bridge
  • Be made mostly of wood
  • Have single or multiple spans of at least 20 metres
  • Be permanent constructions
  • Demonstrate novel use of engineered wood-based products

Timber bridges in remote locations are eligible, but preference will be given to designs that demonstrate higher visibility.

Other conditions apply.
