If you are an employer seeking individuals with specific skills, consider applying for a Canada Job Grant. This innovative approach to training is driven by you, the business owner. You decide what training is required and select the candidates that will benefit from it. The Canada Job Grant recognizes the importance of training to help your business grow and succeed.

About the Canada Job Grant

The Canada Job Grant can help you train existing or new workers. The Government could provide two-thirds of the cost of training, up to a maximum of $10,000 per grant. Employers will be required to contribute the remaining one-third of the training costs. Training costs can include such things as tuition and training materials. And for small business owners, there may be flexibility, such as the potential to count wages as half of your employer contribution or contribute a minimum of 15% towards your share of the costs.

The Canada Job Grant and Essential Skills

Research demonstrates that businesses that invest in developing their employees' essential skills are better equipped to adapt to the demands of today's fast-paced, ever changing economy. Businesses that take action and provide training — whether formal or informal — will reap the benefits by helping their employees learn and put new skills to use in the workplace. It is a smart business investment that can lead to better results.

Take Control, Take Action

Whether you are providing a service, solving a problem, or fulfilling a need, take the necessary steps to hire and develop the right people with the right skills needed for your business to grow and prosper. Your success as a business owner is dependent on you and the skills of your workers.

Provinces and territories are responsible for the design and delivery of the Canada Job Grant in their respective jurisdictions. Find out how the Canada Job Grant can help you. Take control and apply now!
