Still time to participate in the Survey on Financing and Growth of Small and Medium Businesses!
This guest blog post is provided by Industry Canada, which strives to make Canadian industry more productive and competitive in the global economy, thus improving the economic and social well-being of Canadians.
We have some good news concerning the Survey on Financing and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises!
Since February 2015, small business owners have been participating in the Survey on Financing and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises. This survey is used to collect information on the types of financing used by owners to run their businesses and to identify growth opportunities and business obstacles.
Thanks to the participation of small business owners like you, we have been able to use the survey data to develop policies and programs to assist business owners to access financing to launch and grow their businesses. One such example is the Canada Small Business Financing Program.
The collection phase of the survey is nearing its end, but we still need more respondents — the more respondents we have, the more representative, accurate, and useful the data will be for analysis and policy development. Therefore, if you have been contacted to participate in the survey but have not had the chance, we strongly encourage you to do so!
The survey questionnaire takes about 30 minutes or less to complete. All information provided is protected under the Statistics Act and will be kept confidential. It will only be used for statistical purposes and any information provided that could identify your business will not be released.
The survey questionnaire will remain in the field until May 29th. For more information please visit Statistics Canada at http://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/survey/business/2941 or contact the Small Business Branch of Industry Canada at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for helping us to improve policies and programs supporting small businesses.
