A qualified and skilled workforce is the key to keeping Canada's economy strong. The Canada Job Grant is an innovative, employer-driven approach to help Canadians gain the skills they need for available jobs. The Canada Job Grant can help you, as an employer, to ensure that the right people have the right skills for your business.

The Canada Job Grant:

  • Puts skills training decisions directly in your hands to better align training to your specific needs
  • Provides up to $10,000 in federal contributions per individual being trained
  • Creates jobs and opportunities for Canadians
  • Helps develop the skilled workforce Canada's economy needs to grow and thrive.

If you have a plan to train Canadians for a new or better job, you should apply for a Canada Job Grant. Employers must contribute one-third of the total costs of training, while the federal government contributes the remaining two-thirds.

This initiative will help your businesses grow and succeed, will help build a stronger, more skilled workforce and will lead to more jobs for Canadians.
