Farm Land Identification Program

Apply to get your farmland and outbuildings registered in the Registry of Agricultural Land and you may get part of your provincial and municipal property taxes deferred. Your property must be used, or be able to be used, for an agricultural operation.

Other conditions apply.

Apply once by September 1st to be considered for the next tax year. Your land will remain registered as long as it meets program conditions. If you exit the program, you will need to pay up to a maximum of 15 years of the deferred taxes plus part of the interest owed on them.
