Employment integration — Wage subsidies
Hire someone on income security or employment insurance to qualify for this wage subsidy.
The subsidy covers a portion of the recruit's wages and can also cover, under certain conditions, the costs related to having one of your regular employees coach that person or the cost of refresher training.
The subsidy is generally awarded for a period of up to 30 weeks. For social economy enterprises, the term of the subsidy is 52 weeks with a possibility of renewal under a decreasing funding formula.
